Statusfy replaces The Rainout Line for all your program updates. Go to statusfy.com and search Emporia Recreation Commission. Click the bell icon next to location/program to set-up notifications via email or text. You can also download the app! This will keep you informed about weather and scheduling updates.
Unlimited Fitness Classes are included in your ERC Membership.

Fitness Class Descriptions:
Butts & Guts
Catch this class on your lunch hour! This is a quick, 30-minute intense body sculpting workout concentrating primarily on strengthening the core muscles. These would include the abdominal, back and buttocks muscles. Please bring a floor mat and be ready to work. Instructor: Janet Harrouff
Fit Forever
This 45-minute class is designed with the active adult in mind. Participants can enjoy the benefits of strong muscles and joints through moderate weight training designed to improve balance, flexibility, joint stability, coordination, muscular strength and support. Please bring a floor mat. Instructor: ERC Staff

Core Madness - Tuesdays
Join us for a quick but effective core session that focuses on three commonly neglected areas: abdominal, oblique and lower back muscles. This 10-20 minute, high-intensity addition will help you build stability and strength, while improving posture and overall quality of life.
Cardio Madness - Thursdays
Stick around for a 10-20 minute session that aims to improve cardio-respiratory endurance. It is a fast-paced session that makes high-intensity training fun. Enjoy the upbeat atmosphere while increasing strength, stamina and improving your heart health.
Gentle Yoga
Ease into movement with this calming and accessible yoga class designed for all levels, including beginners and those with limited mobility. Gentle Yoga focuses on slow, mindful movements, supported poses, and deep breathing to promote relaxation, and flexibility.
Mat Pilates
This mat-based Pilates class focuses on strength, stability, posture, proper breath control, and flexibility. Each class will work to balance all muscle groups’ strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. Pilates is a class for all fitness levels! Sit & Get Fit
Get fit and have fun while you use a chair for this 30-minute exercise. This low-impact class uses a sturdy chair as a supportive tool to enhance mobility, strength, and flexibility. Participants will engage in a variety of exercises that focus on core stability, upper and lower body strength, and gentle stretching, all while seated or using the chair for balance. Swat Team (Strength, Weight loss, Agility & Toning)
This 45-minute, early morning class is full-body strength training with cardio intervals. Designed to tone, improve endurance and clear your mind. All fitness levels welcome. Bring an exercise mat. This 60-minute class is a high-energy combat fitness program that blends kickboxing, strength training, and functional conditioning to build real-world power, endurance, and confidence. Every class pushes you to move with purpose, sweat hard, and grow stronger—physically and mentally. Train like a warrior, transform like a champion.
Yoga
Enjoy a relaxing series of stretches created to help your flexibility, range of motion, balance and posture. This 60-minute, yoga-inspired stretching class focuses on breathing techniques and relaxation. Please bring a floor mat. Yoga Solo
We have reserved this time in our Fitness Studio for you to have a personal and flexible approach to practice, allowing you to explore yoga at your own pace, focusing on your specific needs and goals, without the constraints of a structured class setting.
