RecXtra After-School Program

The Emporia Recreation Commission is excited to announce the return of our After-School Program for the 2025–2026 school year! With a focus on active living, learning, social growth, safety, and of course, fun, the ERC provides students with a supportive environment to grow, explore their interests, and have fun! Parents love the convenience of care located right in their child’s school, and the peace of mind knowing that qualified, trained staff are creating a positive experience every day.

Dates: Starts on Monday, August 25, 2025
Program meets on USD 253 FULL school days only
Age: K - 5th grade 
Location(s): Logan Avenue, Riverside, Timmerman, Village, Walnut, William Allen White 
Start time: School dismissal time - Full day 
Pick-up Time: 5:30pm 
Fee: $70/month/student
Students that qualify for reduced lunch – $50/month/student
Students that qualify for free lunch – $30/month/student
Current lunch letter must be on file at the Emporia Recreation Center for discounted rate.
