Keep the fun going before school starts! Enjoy outdoor games, crafts, trips to JAC, and themed activities. Led by the same trusted staff for a safe, positive environment for kids to stay active and make memories for the last two weeks of summer.

Camp Wilson: Emporia’s longest running outdoor summer day camp!

Registration Open on February 3, 2025!

Adventure Awaits! Since 1960, Camp Wilson has been inspiring kids to explore, play, and connect with nature! Campers will step away from screens and dive into fun outdoor activities like fishing, swimming, hiking, and nature-based challenges—all while learning teamwork and core values. (No Brightwheel for this program.)

Fee: $70(USD253)/$80(Non-Resident) Weekly 
*Holiday Week: $60(R)/$70(Non-Resident)

Starting Tuesday, February 3, forms will be available through the Brightwheel app or Brightwheel.com. If you are new to Brightwheel, email tmiller@emporiarec.org for a link to start an account. Parents must submit the following completed forms before registration:

• Health History Form
• Authorization for Emergency Medical Care
• Authorization for Dispensing Medications

• Parental Consent Forms for Field Trips

Registration: Registration opens February 3. Forms must be submitted via Brightwheel prior to registration and payment. Registration and payment is due per week. 

Payment Policy: Weekly payment reserves your child’s spot. No holds.

Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued after the Wednesday prior to the week registered.

Get ready for the ultimate summer adventure with themed weeks like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Summerween, and Pirates! Kids will splash at Jones Aquatic Center, fish at Peter Pan Park, bowl at Flint Hills Lanes, and enjoy movies, crafts, and games. Let ERC keep your kids Active for Life this summer!

Summer Scape is a licensed daycare program through KDHE (Kansas Department of Health and Environment). Our purpose is to serve the child, the parent and the community by providing an affordable, safe, positive atmosphere for summer break. Summer Scape will be supervised by qualified leaders 18 years or older with a minimum of ten hours of KDHE-approved training and experience working with children. We will maintain a 1 to 15 ratio with a program that strives to meet the developmental needs of all age groups and their individual needs. This program includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and field trips.

Ages: Entering Kindergarten – entering 6th grade
*Incoming Kindergarteners Incoming 5-year-olds may enroll but must be able to use the restroom and change independently for swimming. 5th and 6th grade will participate in the LIT (Leader in Training) program, learning leadership skills in the morning and enjoying field trips in the afternoon.
