National Beverage Day!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!

Today looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. I love this weather. A day like today is perfect for what we are talking about. National Beverage Day!!

National Beverage Day encourages us to sit back, relax, and enjoy our favorite beverage. Beverages come in many forms whether you prefer a hot or cold one, the choice is yours. I am a huge fan of coffee. I love it hot even in the summer time. It's something I look forward to everyday. My favorite soda is Dr.Pepper. Being from Texas, it's easy to drink the soda that was invented in Waco, Texas all the time. Makes me feel connected to home in a way.  There is nothing better than a nice soda with your pizza night on Friday. There are so many amazing beverages that we get to enjoy that today I thought I'd share some recipes for kids and parents today.

Whipped Coffee:
If you haven't see this yet, you must not be on social media often (which is not a bad thing) this recipe is easy and really taste amazing. Almost like having Starbucks at home. All you need is
2tbsp instant coffee
2tbsp sugar
2tbsp boiling water
a pinch of cinnamon (optional)
1 cup of milk, almond milk, soy milk, or any milk you prefer
Mix all the ingredients together until it forms stiff peaks. It take about 4-5 mins. Once you have your peaks add some ice in a glass and pour your milk of choice over it. Then add the whipped coffee on top and enjoy.

Skittles Soda:
This is something fun and tasty that your kids will enjoy. Its super easy and a lot of fun
Bag of skittles
Lemon lime soda
All you have to do is place your favorite skittles (mine are the red ones) at the bottom of your class. About 15 of them. Pour your lemon lime soda on top and watch the magic happen. The soda will change into the color of the skittles you chose and taste just like the fun fruity treat. The kids will love watching the soda change colors.

However you decide to celebrate today make sure you do it as a family. Take the time to sit outside and enjoy playing yard games and being together. You can make drinks with fruit or have a coke float. The possibilities are endless. Have a fantastic day everyone. CHEERS!!!!
