Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone is staying warm on this surprisingly chilly day. Today is the perfect day to be at home, with hot chocolate, watching your favorite movie as a family. Today is also a perfect day for the activity I have planned for you.
I had to go to Walmart yesterday to pick up a few things. As nervous as I was to leave the house, it was things that was needed. As I walked around I spotted a shirt that said, " It's cool to be Kind." It was a fantastic reminder that in this crazy time, our kindness more than ever goes a long way. When I went to check out, I really took the time to talk to my cashier. I asked her how she was feeling and how things were going at the store. We shared our thoughts on everything and smiled at each other as we talked. I know if anything it made my day.
It got me thinking a lot about all the people that are working in the public during this pandemic. How they are doing everything they can to stay safe and take care of our needs. I'm sure like you, you have seen the millions of images of Doctors and Nurses working around the clock to help treat and take care of everyone in their hospitals. Lot's of my favorite outdoor companies like Chaco sandals have stopped production on their products just to do their part and help make masks for everyone. Chaco posted a address so if you felt the need to write an encouraging letter to the staff you could do so. Letters have been pouring in to encourage the workers and thank them for their hard work.
Today I want to challenge you to write some letters or make some cards. You can send encouraging notes to local hospitals or business. Don't forget to send notes of kindness and love to your family and friends. This is a perfect way to send a smile and tell people how much you appreciate them. Get creative and get everyone in the family involved. I know they will appreciate it. Have fun spreading kindness today.
Until Next Time
