Good Morning Everyone,

Today is a colorful day, one truly worth celebrating. Today is National Crayon Day. It is a day to celebrate the creation of crayons and the joy of coloring. Each year, on March 31 children and adults from all over the world, pick up their favorite colors and create beautiful art work.

FUN FACTS!!!!

Did you know that the smell of crayons is the most recognizable scent for adults.
Crayola is also responsible for the worlds largest crayon. It was 15ƌ" and weighed 1,352 pounds. Crayola makes over 3 billion crayons a year. That's a lot of crayons.

Craft Time!!

Do you have lots of little crayon pieces that you don't know what to do with?? Well instead of throwing them away you can create a brand new, colorful crayon that will be lots of fun.
Step 1-- Preheat your oven to 200 degrees F. Next peel off the remaining paper on your left over crayons.
Step 2-- Break crayons into pieces.
Step 3-- Fill molds or muffin tins with crayons. Make sure to overfill your molds because they will melt down and take up less space. If you use muffin trays, don't forget to use cupcake paper to help get out the new crayon.
Step 4-- Place the molds on a cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 15
minutes or until crayons are completely melted
Step 5--Very carefully remove the cookie sheet from the oven. Let cool so they can harden. To speed up that process you can stick the molds in the freezer.
Step 6--Remove the molds from the freezer. If the bottom of the molds are cool you can remove the crayon and start having fun.
