Kansas City Symphony presents Winborne's The Music of Queen
Who isn’t familiar with the classic tunes of Queen? This electrifying tribute has garnered critical acclaim around the country for staying true to the original recordings with great vocals and stellar harmonies. The genius of Freddie Mercury comes alive with high-energy versions of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” “We Are the Champions,” “Another One Bites the Dust” and many others. We will leave the ERC at 3pm and eat at Los Tules where dinner is on you. Then we will leave and go enjoy the sounds of Queen.

The Play That Goes Wrong
This comedy is about a small theater company staging a production of a 1920s-style murder mystery but when the curtain goes up, everything quickly goes from bad to utterly disastrous. With an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can't play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines.) The New Theater Restaurant in Overland Park, KS is one of the most successful dinner theaters in the country. They have a superb menu served buffet style. Your registration includes transportation, dinner, and the show. Please join us!

Kansas City Royals Baseball
Join us as we cheer on our Kansas City Royal as the face the Arlington Texas Rangers on Wednesday June 29th with the first pitch at 1:10pm. We will leave the ERC parking lot at 10:00am and arrive at Kauffman Stadium around 11:45am to tailgate, then walk to the stadium in time for the game. ERC will be providing hotdogs, chips, salad and pop/water. We will return to Emporia at the end of the game. Fee includes ticket, transportation, parking and lunch. For its one, two, three strikes you’re out at the ole ball game!!!

Festival of the Butterflies
Step into the magical world of butterflies and enjoy opportunities to learn more about these fluttering creators. Powell gardens is hosting the festival of the butterflies. Join us as we take the afternoon to be in nature and enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. We will eat at El Paisas Mexican Restaurant where lunch is on you. After we will spend the afternoon enjoying Powell Gardens Butterflies. Will be back in the early evening at the ERC.

Its lion and tigers and bears…oh my!!!! Join us as we go to Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Wichita KS. With over 15 exhibits and 3 interactive areas, it’s one of the largest attractions in the state. We will stop and have lunch before the zoo at Tonya’s Soup Kitchen where lunch will be on your own. We will get to walk around and learn about each animal and have fun exploring. We aren’t monkeying around when we say it’s going to be a fun filled day.

Miami County Wine Tour
Near Paola is a little taste of wine country right here in Kansas. Somerset Ridge and Isinglass Estate Wineries are two award-winning wineries within minutes of each other. We will enjoy wine tasting, tours of the vineyards, and a look at the whole winemaking process. You will have time to walk the estates or schedule yourself a wagon ride. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Your registration includes transportation, two tastings, small samples, and a gourmet lunch. Please join us!
