Emporia State Football Camp
We are proud to team with ESU Head Football Coach Garin Higgins and staff to offer a youth football camp for kids in grades 3rd-8th. The camp will be held at Welch Stadium on the ESU campus starting Wednesday, June 9th thru Friday June 11th.This camp is designed for all participants who want an opportunity to receive instruction/evaluation from the Hornet Football Staff. The camp will run from 8 am to 12 pm each day. All campers will receive a T-shirt

Hornet Baseball Camp
All Campers will meet from 9 to 11 am
Emporia State Head Coach Bob Fornelli and his staff have teamed up with Emporia Recreation to offer an outstanding baseball camp for young ball players. Camps are offered for kids 5-9 years of age and will concentrate on pitching and catching as well as hitting and defense. Camp for ball players 10-14 years of age will concentrate on all aspects of the game. Come ready to have a good time and learn the fundamentals of baseball. Dont forget to bring your glove, hat and shoes. Camp will be held on Glennen Field at the Trusler Sports Complex.

Spartan Football Camp
Head Coach Dustin Delaney and staff will conduct two summer football camp for kids grades 3-6. The camp will focus on the fundamentals of football in a fun and exciting environment. The first camp will be non-padded, and will run from July 28-30, the second camp will be padded and open to any players in our 5/6 grade Tackle Football League, taking place August 4-7. Both camps will be held at the Emporia High Football Field. Workouts will be held the last day of camp for players participating in the ERC Tackle Football League. Anyone interested in coaching one of our league teams is welcome to attend.

Spartan Baseball School
The Emporia Recreation Commission is excited to announce the new Spartan Baseball School. The school will provide six weeks of high-level instruction for youth in the Emporia area. Participants will develop their skills and learn the game from highly qualified instructors.
Fee: $30 includes camp t-shirt
Age: 1st-6th grade
Dates: April 5th-May 13th
Days: Monday thru Thursday
Session Times: 4:30 to 6pm

Emporia Baseball Academy
The Emporia Baseball Academy is an extension of the Emporia Recreation Commission summer baseball program providing high- level instruction for all youth in the Emporia area. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills while learning from highly qualified instructors. The participant will also play in the ERC League.
Enrollment into this Academy will include: 5 weeks of high level instruction, enrollment in the ERC summer rec league, a hat, a T-shirt, and the fee will be waived for any participant who makes it on the district team.

All members of the Emporia Baseball Academy will be required to participate in a mandatory fundraiser.
There will be four age groups;
8 and under, 10 and under, 12 and under, and 14 and under. The practices will take place three days a week at Trusler Sports Complex. The academy will start on May 31st and go for five weeks. Practice will take place on Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday.

Fee: $125.00 / $100 for each additional child
Practices Begin: May 31

Times: 11-14 year olds will meet from 8 to 10 am.
8 and under & 10 and under will meet from 10 am to 12 pm.

Junior Spartan Softball Camp
The best foundation you can give your aspiring young softball player is the fundamentals of the game. Current Emporia High Softball coach, Mike Strickland and staff will be offering a softball clinic that will be held on two Saturday afternoons. Kids will learn the basic fundamentals of catching, throwing, fielding, pitching and hitting in a fun and exciting atmosphere. This program would be great for first time softball players, or old pros that need to get back into the swing of things.
